Hi Kelly,
It's great to hear from you. I phoned Papa OJ and read your blog and he asked me to answer for him. He is proud of what you are doing and is praying for you daily. He wants me to send you his banana bread recipe which I will send to your email address. He said if you don't have bananas then substitute something like zucchini for bananas.
Roger & I will leave Friday for our Summer Road Trip. We'll visit family and friends in Tucson, then on to West TX, East TX, GA-R's sister, NC-A&T&kiddos, IL-friends, MO-L&M&kiddos, OK-friends, Santa Fe & Taos, NM-just 'cause we want to, and then back home. That trip takes us nearly 5,000 miles and we're looking forward to seeing everyone.
Thanks for staying in touch. Love you lots!
Susan

Kelly, good to hear from you again! Since Susan is sending you the banana bread recipe, I think I’ll send you the one for my cantaloupe cobbler.
Love, Mom

Kelly,
Your friends will love your mom's cantaloupe cobbler recipe. I should mail you some green olives as that was your only green veggie for a long time. I suppose you know that i meant that Kenny was going to Fl...not you!
Remember....there's always your little red shoes and you can come home!
love you,
Aunt Pam

So it finally hit home this weekend you are gone...haha! I was in Atlanta at the airport eating Chick Fil-A and was thinking about birthday Chick Fil-A when I realized that might be a bit difficult. I am glad you are doing well but was starting to get worried you had been bride napped and we were going to have to send Rosie to find you! Haha! I will have to think of some recipes. I think you should introduce smores! Yum! Anyways I am glad you are doing great and I can't wait to see some pictures!

Dearest Kelly,
Toby and I are really into local foods lately, so I googled Kyrgyz food to see what sort of ingredients you are likely to find locally. Apparently mutton is big time there, and sheep's head and horsemeat are delicacies. Unfortunately I don't have any recipies calling for those ingredients. But in my search I randomly ran into this site about Jewish history in the region: http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/vjw/
Kyrgyzstan.html . I don't know if it's a reliable source but it sure was interesting.
We have been having so much fun reading about your fascinating part of the world. Thanks for opening it up to us. Can't wait to hear more of your adventures. Love, Jen
